Payment Policy

For half-day sessions, there is a minimum fee of $200 per party. This fee covers the first two hours of mediation. Any time beyond the first two hours is billed in 5-minute increments and is due at the conclusion of the mediation.

For full-day sessions, there is a minimum fee of $400 per party. This fee covers the first four hours of mediation. Any time beyond the first four hours is billed in 5-minute increments and is due at the conclusion of the mediation.

The hourly fee applies to time spent preparing written documents such as the memorandum of understanding. The fee also applies to any communication required to achieve a final written agreement.

For complex cases requiring in-depth document review prior to mediation, a fee will apply. In such cases, the mediator will make specific payment arrangements by mutual agreement with parties.

Cost Sharing

The cost of mediation is split evenly between the parties unless they have otherwise mutually agreed in writing, or a court has ordered a different fee structure, and parties have informed the mediator in writing.

Cancellation Policy

If mediation is cancelled with at least 3 days’ notice, both parties' deposits will be refunded. If mediation is cancelled with less than 3 days’ notice, the deposit will not be refunded.

If only one party cancels mediation with less than 3 days’ notice, or does not show up on the day of mediation, that party will be charged both cancellation fees. The other party’s deposit will be refunded and they will not be charged a cancellation fee.
